Glad you are learning the righteous path. 😉
It seems you forgot the three most important lessons though, regarding:
1. respecting requests for silence
2. not sorting out your laundry business at 4AM, and
3. making sure your laundry stays dry despite the bad weather (…hmmmmm!)
But that comes with experience.

For the record however: It is a really crappy room arrangement right next to reception, cannot blame you for that! The hostel should not put its late-night-check-ins in that position.

May the force be with you.
Enjoy your travels.

We were checking into Casa Blanca Hostel early on the morning of the 3rd of May when you disrupted our check in progress to inform us of the correct way to check in. Thanks for this as we were all hopelessly lost in terms of hostel etiquette prior to your early morning interjection. You taught two valuable things for our future travels, such as:

1. If someone, that someone being you in this case, has been woken up during previous nights in the hostel because of noise, lights etc its perfectly okay to have a whinge and blame new people checking in for this.

2. It’s only acceptable to check into hostels between the business hours of 9-5. If arriving at any other time the persons should sleep on the street.
